Who We Are
At Spud City Mashers, we strive for excellence in competitive baseball while staying deeply rooted in the Ridgefield community. Our mission is to ignite a strong passion for the game, prepare young athletes for higher-level baseball, create cohesiveness from Ridgefield Little League to the more competitive setting of Ridgefield High School, and empower them to reach their full potential.
Founded in 2016 by Paul Stenbak and Rian Davis, Spud City Mashers began as a single-team 12U baseball program in collaboration with Ridgefield Little League and Ridgefield High School.
Following significant growth in the Ridgefield baseball community, a strong need emerged for a locally aligned competitive baseball program. To meet this demand, Spud City Mashers was reworked. We have continued our collaboration with Ridgefield Little League (RLL) and Ridgefield High School (RHS), now offering teams at the 10U-13U levels.
At Spud City Mashers, our dedicated volunteers are the heart of our program. Passionate about our community and baseball, our team operates without paid staff to keep the program affordable and accessible. Our volunteer board members and staff work tirelessly to deliver a high-quality program, while our volunteer coaches provide personalized instruction, mentorship, and a top-notch experience. We believe in the power of baseball to positively impact young athletes, helping them thrive both on and off the field.
